Washington, DC – The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, in partnership with the George Washington University and the DC Department of Human Resources (DCHR), is thrilled to announce the opening of nominations and applications for the 22nd Annual Cafritz Awards!
This prestigious program celebrates the exceptional dedication, innovation, and impact of DC Government employees who have gone above and beyond to serve the residents, workers, and visitors of our nation’s capital. It’s time to honor the unsung heroes who make a difference every day.
Each year, the Cafritz Awards recognize five individual winners, each receiving a $7,500 cash prize, and one winning team, which receives a $15,000 cash prize shared among its members.
Nominations and applications can be submitted online at www.cafritzawards.org. Individuals or teams who self-nominate can proceed directly to the application process. The application deadline is January 10, 2025.
Over the past two decades, the Cafritz Awards have recognized more than 110 extraordinary individuals and eight innovative teams across 36 DC Government agencies and offices. These winners have set a standard of excellence, showcasing what is possible through dedication and public service.
